Burn the wood into a layer of coal. After that, remove any non combustible materials. Then, lay the remaining coal evenly on the bottom of the furnace. Put a small amount of kindling on the coal. After the fire is properly burned, add some medium-sized wood blocks and a large slow burning wood block to the fire. Preferably pine, oak or pecan. Burn the logs until there is a layer of hot coal. Then reduce the air flow and ensure that it is not completely cut off.

I want to buy a hot tent so that I can use it for the rest of the hunting season and also in the coming winter. I looked at a lot of hot tent with stove jack, and finally found that pomoly and snowtrekker are suitable for me. But I don't know about their product experience. Can anyone know which of these two brands is better?

Hot tent camping or hot tent is just camping with a stove in the tent? You can't just put a stove in any tent: before doing so, you must consider some important things. As you will see below, the main problem is melting your tent, so you need a tent made of materials that won't melt.

The second problem is to make sure your tent has enough breathing or ventilation so that it won't get too wet and you'll have condensation problems.

Check out the section below to find out what a good tent with stove jack is for more information.

It reminds me of the stove. You can't put the stove in any tent. Your tent needs a stove Jack.

Recently, because Pomoly's quality and service have been loved by many outdoor lovers, many thieves began to sell their products in the name of Pomoly. For example, this website https://www.focustove.com/ I found Pomoly's customer service staff, which is not their manufacturer. If you want to buy Pomoly's products, please go to Pomoly's official website. https://www.pomoly.com/

Stove jack

Stove jacks are necessities, not accessories. The stove Jack protects the tent from the hot stove pipe. Our tent has installed a stove jack, but if your tent does not have a stove jack, you will need one.

Spark arrester

The spark arrester is another necessity, but it is just a welding wire folded and stuck on the top of the Stove pipe to catch the escaping spark. Catching sparks can protect the tent fabric from burn holes. Our spark arrester is supplied with the stove, but you can make one with welding wire in about two minutes. They can also be used as crayfish traps.

Pipe damper

The wood oven is installed on the stove pipe above the stove and is heated by the smoke circulating around the oven and then discharged from the top of the pipe. It also causes more heat to be dumped into the tent before it can be taken out of the stove pipe.

1. Try to set up tents on hard and flat ground.

2. Don't camp on the river bank and dry riverbed.

3. The entrance of the tent should be leeward, which also considers the safety and convenience of fire.

4. When setting up the camp, you can't put the camp under the cliff, which is very dangerous. Once there is a strong wind on the mountain, it is possible to blow down stones and other objects, resulting in casualties.

5. In order to prevent the tent from being flooded when it rains, a drainage ditch should be dug directly below the side line of the canopy top.

6. The four corners of the tent shall be pressed with large stones.

7. Keep air circulation in the tent, and prevent fire when cooking in the tent.

8. Before going to bed, we should check whether all the flames have been extinguished and whether the tent is firmly fixed.

The main reason for condensation in tents is the heat and humidity generated by tent residents.

The easiest way to ventilate the tent in dry conditions is to abandon rain flies and use the tent body alone. This will remove the most impenetrable layer of the tent and provide sufficient airflow through the mesh panels in the tent walls or roof. If weather conditions do not allow fly free pitching, the best way is to make full use of all ventilation functions of the tent. This means pulling down the zipper on any mesh lined window, opening the vent, allowing the door (at least partially) to open, and ensuring that no vent or door is blocked by sleepers or their equipment.
