I have been fiending to get out and do some winter camping in a hot tent since I stumbled across some YouTube videos on it a while back. I also like projects and not spending $400+ on a lightweight tent stove (Yet) so I decided to build my own.
I saw a video where a guy used steam table pans to create a stove and decided to go that route for my first stove. I of course am adding my own twist on it and making little improvements where I can.
My version has a 3" start collar where the pipe is going to attach so I didn't have to try and form a fit there with a hammer and a jig. The restaurant pans are fairly sturdy and this was just an overall easier option. I also sealed around the stove connection with some high heat RTV sealant just for peace of mind and to limit any leaks in that area.
