I am thinking about getting into hot tenting for winter camping and the prices on stoves seems really high $400 plus on some. Any suggestions on affordable brands? How good are homemade stoves compared?

I have a solowilder wood stove. Although it is a little small, the stove is very exquisite. No more than 200 usd. Personally, don't trust a firewood stove under $100.
